Public Education and Outreach

Community Involvement

DVSCP provides public education, prevention, outreach, and trainings across multiple settings to include elementary, middle, and high schools, alternative education schools, colleges and universities, medical practices, faith-based groups, law enforcement, and other professionals or community groups.

Raising Awareness

Two of our most important and busiest months of the year include Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM) in October and Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) in April.

Below are the typical topics presented by DVSCP’s Public Education Advocates

If you do not see a topic listed that interests you, please reach out to our team to find out if we can accommodate your request.  The Public Education Team can be reached by calling 717-258-4806 or emailing Stephanie Spurgeon at sspurgeon@dvscp.org

Curriculums/Educational Materials:

  • DVSCP Services/Referral Process
  • Introduction to Domestic Violence (DV)
  • How to Support Survivors of DV
